Johns Hopkins University Chief Compliance Officer & Senior Associate General Counsel in Baltimore, Maryland

The JHU Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Associate General Counsel (“CCO”) (https://sapsf.jhu.edu/REC/Posting/JHU_Chief_Compliance_Officer_Sr_Assoc_General_Cousel.pdf) oversees and manages the University’s compliance function and compliance risk management and is an integral part of the University’s Institutional Risk Management (IRM) program. The CCO works in a consultative and collaborative manner with other established compliance functions throughout the University and provides leadership in managing complex compliance obligations associated with a top-tier academic and research institution, including the University’s School of Medicine.

Experience: The successful candidate will have significant experience leading or helping lead the legal or compliance function within large complex organizations, and at least ten years of legal/compliance experience. Experience at a large research university is preferred, although not required. The position requires an accomplished attorney with a distinguished legal and compliance professional record, regardless of industry background.

Location/Relocation: Baltimore, MD. This is a national search. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
