Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Operating a variety of plant equipment including mixers, crystallizers, pumps, dryers, centrifuges, ball mills, filters, cranes, heat exchangers, packaging equipment, calciners, boilers, and kilns.

• Ensure the proper operation of processes, performing routine work, making and breaking connections, cleaning and flushing process piping or hoses, and conducting necessary checks using instruments and tools.

• The role requires the ability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and work platforms, as well as handle containers ranging from 5-gallon pails to 55-gallon drums.

• The candidate must be capable of operating electrical and pneumatic tools, working in extreme temperatures, and wearing necessary safety equipment such as respirators and self-contained breathing apparatuses. Qualified candidates may also operate power trucks.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Baltimore, Maryland.

The successful candidate will work 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 plant, to include nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Schedule Requirements:

• Shift rotation: Teams rotate shifts in a four-week cycle, alternating between day and night shifts.

• Shift length: Each shift is 12 hours long.

• Number of teams: Four teams are used to ensure 24/7 coverage.

• Number of shifts per week: The standard schedule results in an average of 42 hours per week, but some weeks may have up to six workdays totaling 72 hours.

• Time off: The schedule provides a solid week off each month, but employees must work 72 hours in one week every four weeks.
