Bon Secours Mercy Health Care A Van Patient Service Representative in Baltimore, Maryland

SUMMARY:

The Clinical Support Registrar is responsible for greeting and registering patients presenting to the Care-A-Van for health care services. Registration will be done using an electronic medical record system. The Clinical Support Registrar is also responsible for assisting patients with language needs and assisting with light clerical duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must be bilingual (Fluently speak and understand English/Spanish)

  • Previous work experience in public health, community health outreach, and/or working with culturally diverse populations highly preferred.

  • Experience in patient interviewing preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

  • Previous customer service experience with exposure to a variety of customers is required

  • Knowledge and experience in data entry, report tabulations, and routine clerical support preferred. Must have proficiency in the operation of a laptop PC.

  • Flexibility in adapting to changing needs of the program, ability to work as a team member, and the willingness to work flexible hours in community based settings required.
