About the Job

Rosedale Federal is currently seeking aBranch Managerto join our team inBRANCH NAME. The Branch Manager is responsible for directing, overseeing, managing and leading the branch. This position promotes the Bank's relationship sales culture; ensuring that the staff provides an outstanding customer experience and seeks to acquire, deepen and retain customer relationships. This position manages, motivates, coaches, and supports branch employees and leads by example. A key responsibility is to train and coach the Assistant Branch Manager to develop the necessary skills and readiness to assume direct management accountability. The Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring that branch staff are operating in compliance with security and operational procedures, as well as other bank regulations. In this role, the Branch Manager develops and promotes good community relations. Professionalism, leadership, being a positive role model and promoting teamwork are key to this position.

In this position you will:

  • Oversee branch management functions including staffing, scheduling, performance management, training, one on one's, coaching, and employee recognition and development.
  • Train and coach the Assistant Branch Manager to develop the necessary skills and readiness to assume direct management responsibility.
  • Create an outstanding customer experience that is personalized, responsive and convenient.
  • Ensures that staff are knowledgeable about all Bank products and services, and effectively discuss them with customers while addressing specific benefits related to their banking needs.
  • Sets the example in customer service delivery for branch staff to emulate. Knows the branch customer base and customers' typical banking activity.
  • Serves as product knowledge branch expert having thorough knowledge of product features and benefits and the ability to sell the benefits to customers. Ensures that product knowledge training is provided for all branch staff.
  • Embraces the Bank's relationship sales culture by acquiring relationships with new customers and deepening and retaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Maintains a visible presence with customers throughout the branch including lobby, platform and teller line.
  • Identifies and refers potential lending opportunities to the appropriate department.
  • Leads outbound customer calling efforts.
  • Proactively stays informed of new products and regulations.
  • Oversees and delegates the daily operations to include management of security procedures, audit control, all reporting, settlements, physical branch maintenance, proper branch opening and closing, and adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Runs a teller drawer as needed.
  • Seeks to identify customer transaction patterns to protect customers' security and report unusual patterns and coaches staff members to do the same.

What we are looking for:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent. Coll ge coursework preferred.
  • 5 years of retail banking experience to include 3 years of successful management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to market products and services and establish and deepen customer relationships.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully coach and lead a team to desired results.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, office software and other office equipment.
  • Basic understanding of laws and practices relating to supervising employees.
  • Knowledge of account ownership and FDIC insurance.
  • Ability to count large sums of cash and coin and operate computer systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to remain in a standing position for long periods of time (50% of the time)
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Bending required to access the coin vault, ATM and night drop.
  • Ability to work at other branch locations based on business need.
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends and flexibility during the week.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
