Assistant Project Manager - Construction

Worcester Eisenbrandt, a leading specialist in historic restoration, is looking for an experienced   

Assistant Project Manager to work on exciting projects in 

Baltimore Maryland, District of Columbia and No. Virginia.

SUMMARY OF ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage worker schedules and effectively coordinate activities of the team;

  • Ability to read blueprints;

  • Manage take offs;

  • Maintain accurate records of all contract changes and internal contract adjustments including, but not limited to, the work orders, back charges and other instruments documenting s uch changes;

  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers;

  • Evaluate subcontractors and assign sub work accordingly;

  • At the direction of the Project Manager, create purchase orders consistent with the t erms and conditions contained in the subcontractor bids, contract documents, according to Company policy,

  • Maintain daily logs of job sites;

  • Process request for changes;

  • Prioritize operations and make changes in operations to meet deadlines;

  • Coordinate inspections;

  • On site visits;

  • Process close out information;

  • Ensure contract requirements meet qualitative and quantitative standards;

  • Knowledge of CAD is a plus;

  • ABILITY TO DELEGATE

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Two years of experience  (minimum)

  •  Knowledge of construction management

  • Clean driving record

  • Construction site management experience and/or education

  • Knowledge  of technical terminology

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
