Job Description

Our Supply group is responsible for brewing, packaging and shipping the famous Budweiser beer. They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing, barley fields, hop farms and a rice mill. Life in supply is non-stop action with high-speed lines, tight production schedules and unbelievably high quality standards.   • Comprehend and apply construction management requirements as dictated by MESH bulletins (now CGOPs – AB Standard Good Operating Practices) and applicable VPO (AB Lean Methodology) Safety Pillar requirements.

  • Develop scope of work and estimates per customer needs and TP / EDS standards

  • Coordinate with process engineers on design review and bid package execution

  • Perform bid package assembly for capital projects, conduct pre-bid meetings (PEMS), and attend bid package design review meetings

  • Make recommendations to award and preparing field orders or contracts for signature

  • Develop detailed schedule with engineering team for construction execution

  • Adapt field engineering based on dynamic site conditions and authorizing work accordingly

  • Communicate disruption notices to brewery premises if required for construction completion

  • Routine responsibilities:

  • Walk job sites daily, managing needed permits and safety measures per company and OSHA standards

  • Hold construction teams accountable for safety and performance with action taken as needed

  • Contractor management, construction quality, and construction surveillance responsibilities, potentially on weekends and holidays

  • Ensure development and completion of construction-complete checklists

  • Monitor contractor performance to schedule

  • Attend routine meetings with brewery engineering team and report on status of projects

  • Utilize PEMS and SAP as needed to perform job duties

Job Qualifications

  • BS degree required, preferred if in Chemical Engineering, Fermentation/Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar field.

  • Minimum two years of experience in Brewing. Packaging experience a plus.

  • Experience with new product startups and/or project engineering/management beneficial.

  • Demonstrated capabilities in multi-tasking, problem-solving, results orientation, with strong commitment to project execution.

  • Strong customer focus.

  • Cross-functional exposure to Procurement/QA/Logistics/Packaging a plus.

  • Able to work in cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Willingness to cross-train to gain expertise in process or packaging development teams

  • Tasting experience at brewery and/or corporate panels a plus.
