Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Performs any combination of following tasks to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Load and unload equipment and materials being shipped and received.
Load crates and verify contents match packing slips.
Review prints to confirm shipping and receiving requirements.
Safely and effectively move and store material in the packing area.
Understands the packing area storage strategy and storage locations.
Document all equipment loaded.
Coordinate all shipments by size, weight, quantity, etc.
Generate a shipping list to be sent with the truck driver.
Ensure that all deliveries are per order.
Document and verify all materials received against Purchase Order
Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
1-5 years of experience as a shipping or receiving operator with for truck certification.
Highly skilled in print review to confirm shipping requirements and inspect accuracy of items.
Understands how to safely maximize weight of truckloads.
Effectively determine all material requirements based on documents provided.
Capable of packing a seal based on drawings.
Understands how to use a Load list/Ship list to determine shipping requirements.
Efficiently & accurately delivers material to work areas as needed.
Efficiently and effectively unloads vehicles and stores material appropriately.
Skilled in PO review to confirm requirements and inspect accuracy of items.
Highly detailed-oriented and proficient in producing accurate and clear paperwork.
Understand the packing area storage strategy and storage locations.
Certified to run all forklifts and overhead crane.
Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.
Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment.
Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
The essential job functions and duties outlined in this position are considered safety sensitive.
Obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program.
California law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in California is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.
Hiring range: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
