Under direct supervision and mentorship of professional staff within the department, undertakes a range of on-going activities and assigned projects of varying levels of complexity. Works as a member of an operating team, and directly interacts with all levels of personnel and/or other internal/external customers in the planning and implementation of projects and in the execution of assigned projects and tasks, under the guidance of more senior personnel.

The Intern supports the department’s two primary functions of application technical support and product development (R&D). We believe the application knowledge gained through our support function makes us better at developing products. We also believe that by developing our own products, we can better solve our customer’s problems. These principles form the foundation of the engineering team and are the basis for the job duties outlined below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes and/or participates in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to engineering and/or business.

  • Conducts and/or participates in engineering calculations and designs under the direct supervision on an engineer.

  • Assists with daily workload of the department.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be in the process of obtaining a degree in Engineering or Mathematics.

  • Experience with 3D Cad System, Solidworks EPDM, and AutoCAD preferred.
