WorkSource Oregon Manager of Operations I, II in Baker City, Oregon
This position may be based out of Burns, John Day, or Baker City, Oregon. Qualifications: * District level manager (l) will have a minimum AA/Technical Degree and ten years of increasingly responsible experience in electric utility operations or fifteen years of increasingly responsible experience in electric utility operations. * Senior Level manager (Il) will have BA/Technical Degree and ten years of increasingly responsible experience in electric utility operations or fifteen years of increasingly responsible experience in electric utility operations with preference given to experience as a Lineman or System Operator and/or certification. * Experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Possess and maintain a valid driver\'s license (Class A Commercial Driver\'s License preferred). Duties and Responsibilities: * Participate in and responsible for driving cooperative safety culture. * Ensure that safety practices as described in the safety manual are followed. * Responsible for all district construction, maintenance, safety, budgeting, and operations, and assisting with fleet maintenance. * Establish or recommend operation strategies, objectives, and policies/procedures for the cooperative. * Direct all approved internal/contracted construction, operations, maintenance and member activities and programs to obtain maximum productivity and effectiveness in the pursuit of strategic goals. * Deliver the projects within departmental annual work plans and other engineering studies to assure adequate system capacity, service reliability and workplace and public safety. * Review the cooperative\'s power line and substation systems for overall integrity and recommends maintenance, upgrades, or redesign. * Visit job sites before and after construction to ensure efficient crew performance due to logistical preparedness, as well as conformance with cooperative construction standards. * Monitor progress and costs incurred in carrying out departmental work plans. * Assess the cooperative\'s vehicle fleet needs and make recommendations to procurement. * Manage employee training. * Communicate with regulatory and government agencies to facilitate the efficient construction and maintenance of facilities. * Attend functions, seminars, meetings, and activities essential to the wellbeing of the cooperative. * Participation in cooperative strategy and initiatives. * This is a full-time position. This position requires that the employee be available for work outside the normal daily work period. Travel is required within the four-county service territory during the business day and infrequently overnight. Occasional out of the area travel is expected to attend various activities such as meetings, training and other events. * Additional duties as assigned. Salary: * \$115,650 to \$153,452 depending upon qualifications.
