Hyatt Director of Finance in BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, Mexico

Description:

Operational Functions:

  • Shall skillfully analyze and monitor the financial operation of the hotel to achieve financial targets, as measured by revenue, profit and RevPAR index.

  • You will monitor all financial operations, working with Finance managers to ensure necessary adjustments are made to those operations.

  • He/she will provide feedback to the Finance Directors on the results of their areas and ensure that relevant changes are implemented.

  • He will ensure that the Division's work objectives are placed on the Scoreboard and achieved.

  • You will be adept at developing and using collaborative relationships and teamwork.

Financial Functions:

  • Shall manage all financial resources of the Hotel: determine how money will be spent to perform the work and account for these expenditures.

  • You will need to control all accounting tasks in the area. Cash controls, revenue controls, payment controls, etcetera.

  • You will supervise the control of the necessary costs of the company; verifying the best quality at the best cost.

  • Perform and supervise the annual budget of the Hyatt Regency Mexico City hotel and the hotels in Mexico.

  • Perform monthly forecast of the areas in Hyatt Regency Mexico City and Mexico hotels.

  • Manage financial reporting, investment portfolios, accounting and all types of financial analysis of the company.

  • You will secure financing with banks, suppliers or clients.

  • You will make investments, taking into account the optimal benefit for the Hotel.

  • Ensure that the budget is met on a monthly basis, checking that there are no significant deviations.

  • He will ensure that the monthly tax calculation is made based on the guidelines issued by the tax authority.

  • Maximize employee productivity through the use of flexible schedules, different functions and different tasks to meet the financial needs of the business, as well as the expectations of the guests.

  • Ensure that each consumption and service center operates to maximize profits while delivering on the brand promise.

  • Ensure that each cost center operates with the lowest possible cost structure, delivering on the brand promise to the guest.

  • Strategically analyze business performance by facilitating accurate and understandable forecasting that appropriately engages the leadership and General Manager of each hotel in Mexico.

  • You will proactively manage costs based on key performance indicators, working appropriately with the heads of each Mexico hotel management and General Managers.

  • You will manage revenue: knowledge of total hotel revenue management concepts, processes and strategies (including sales cycles and trends, account management, pricing and inventory management).

  • You will process daily cash deposits.

  • Will ensure that an effective cash control system is in place and that all credit card and check cashing policies are adhered to.

  • Sign and authorize business documents under Hyatt guidelines. (Checks, settlements, purchase orders).

  • Ensure that all licenses and permits required by the hotel are current and processed in a timely manner.

  • Authorize Services and Services II payrolls.

  • Participate in the monthly Hotel results meeting with the owners of Hyatt Regency Mexico City.

  • Ensure the correct implementation and follow up of the internal control established by Hyatt standards, as well as the accounting standards.

  • In coordination with the External Audit team, will annually participate and coordinate the audit of the Financial Statements of the Companies, until the issuance of the Audited Financial Statements.
