This position is looking for a candidate that fulfills the following responsibilities and qualifications:


  1. Ensure that the Department's activities are aligned with the Corporate Finance Strategy, and that Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.

  2. Will assist in the preparation and updating of departmental operations manuals for information systems and finance.

  3. Will ensure that the hotel complies with all Company / Hotel Finance Policies and Procedures.

  4. Will ensure that tax and employee legislations stipulated by the government are strictly followed and implemented.

  5. Will conduct regular departmental communication meetings.

  6. Ensure that an organized and up-to-date filing system is maintained for all pertinent financial records.

  7. Will assist in reviewing all daily mail for the Accounting Department, including all incoming and outgoing accounts receivable correspondences.

  8. Will be responsible for ensuring that all corporate, regional, hotel and governmental reports are compiled accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

  9. Will monitor and ensure that hotel licenses are renewed on a timely basis.

  10. Administer and renew insurance policies.


  1. will assist with the preparation of the annual Finance Business Plan that ensures divisional objectives fully address the hotel's business objectives and employee needs.

  2. Will assist with the preparation and periodic updating of the Finance Departmental Budget, in close cooperation with the Director of Finance, ensuring that objectives are met and costs are effectively controlled.

  3. Maximize employee productivity through the use of multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial objectives of the business as well as guest expectations.

  4. Will focus attention on improving productivity levels and the need to prudently manage utility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines that ensure optimal deployment and energy efficiency of all equipment.

  5. Ensure the adoption of new technologies and equipment, thereby improving productivity and removing work from the system.
