Providing excellent customer service by answering lots of questions & making product recommendations.
Reviewing the merchandising calendar you developed at least 13 weeks ago to ensure sales, labor & grosses are on target.
Hiring, training, and scheduling your staff to create a collaborative & well informed team.
Writing orders and planning promotions for a fun and fresh department, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
Demonstrating an attitude of service to your team by lending a hand and working cohesively.
Maintaining the department so that it is clean, enticing and safe.
Supporting and following all safety and security policies and our sustainability programs.
Operating within the Company’s Core Values & Company Brand (don’t worry, we’ll tell you all about this).
You have experience in Housewares and ideally have run a retail department before.
You know the difference between a Chef’s knife and a Slicing Knife.
You have enthusiasm for merchandising, selling and exceeding goals.
You love providing outstanding customer service and you role model this with a patient, level-headed and cool under pressure, positive attitude.
You enjoy solving problems, and take on difficult challenges with a creative & detailed eye.
You show up committed to manage effectively, lead by example and think on your feet.
You communicate clearly, you listen attentively and you know how to build strong relationships.
Your computer skills are great and you know your way comfortably around MS Office.
You are flexible to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. After all this is retail and we are open every day except for Christmas Day.
You have the physical ability to lift and carry 50lbs (Cookware is heavy), have excellent manual dexterity and can bend, stoop, twist, reach and stand for long periods of time.
