Avient has embarked on a multi-year journey to enhance our customer, supplier, vendor and associate experience through an enhanced ERP system! We are looking for a highly motivated project management leader to join our team and play a pivotal role in this exciting project by helping us bring cutting edge solutions and innovation to our business operations. Through this project, incumbents will have an opportunity to make a positive impact on Avient's success and achieve exposure to all levels of leadership. We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven SAP S/4 HANA Project Manager with a proven track record in managing and turning around complex ERP projects. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, and the ability to navigate large, complex projects. This role requires a hands-on strategic thinker who can diagnose issues, develop actionable recovery plans, and lead cross-functional teams to successful project completion. Essential Functions Project Leadership and Governance * Oversee updated project plan and critical project milestones to guarantee timely and budget-compliant achievement of objectives. * Analyze project management practices, technical issues, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with business and project objectives. Propose and drive solutions for any aspects identified as not on track. * Evaluate and lead the project management office to provide direction, oversight, and accountability to project team. * Create executive level dashboards and project summaries that provide transparent status updates and facilitates robust discussions about the project's health * Manage and hold the partner accountable for their deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and progress on all deliverables * Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project sponsors, executives, and team members Stakeholder Engagement * Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and senior leadership to facilitate smooth project execution and maximize value delivery. * Influence and build consensus with development teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and senior leadership. * Gather feedback, address concerns, and secure commitment for turnaround efforts. Risk Management * Identify and mitigate project risks to prevent future failures; develop contingency plans and proactively address potential issues. * Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation. * Proactively identify and resolve project issues and escalations, anticipating challenges and implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track. * Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal IT teams to resolve technical challenges. Continuous Monitoring and Improvement * Facilitate status review meetings with internal teams, vendors, and senior leadership, fostering collaboration and resolving issues to maintain project momentum. * Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation in project management processes and methodologies. * Responsible for the execution of the project plan, milestones and key project deliverables and monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle. * Other duties as assigned Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field * Minimum 5 years of experience in full life cycle SAP project management, with a focus on S/4 HANA implementations. * Experience in supporting turnaround projects highly preferred. * Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. Additional Qualifications * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic en
