In this position...

This position is key to ensuring every unit built and shipped to the customer meets or exceeds expectations, on a daily basis. This position has the responsibility to ensure parts and commodities received meet quality requirements and standards. It will have large scale interaction with the Product Design on parts or designs that are not properly documented that lead to variation of the component. This position has the responsibility to process scrap material and represent the company's best interest in cost recovery. Must ensure inventory integrity is maintained in the scrap process. This is a regulatory position.

What you'll do...

  • Manage all Pre-Delivery operations (CAL, MVL, Rough Road and Ship to Gate counts)

  • Manage Finished Vehicle inspection processes and coordinate on-going review / update of the measurement systems and mandatory process requirements based on customer feedback (GQRS / Warranty / Export Markets)

  • Manage the Finished Vehicle Inventory within plant objectives

  • Manage department direct and indirect manning

  • Assure Government Regulations, Safety, and Inspection Audits and critical function system reviews are conducted properly and reported to prevent campaigns

  • Coordinate real time plant quality concern feedback to production departments

  • Work with plant personnel to initiate appropriate containment and corrective action

  • Oversee Pre-Delivery and Finished Vehicle Audits for all pre-build events

  • Manage department costs to meet objectives

  • Develop and Mentor plant personnel on the QOS, coach and train on the appropriate use of standard Quality Tools

  • Champion and deliver the plant Policy Deployment Process for Quality

  • Promote teamwork in hourly and salary workforce

You'll have...

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong analytical background

  • Language skills as required by the job

  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong knowledge of the Ford Production System/Quality Operating System

  • Working Knowledge of the following systems:

  • Data Cubes/Common Metrics

  • AWS

  • BSAQ

  • ECB

  • GQRS

  • QLS

  • AVS

  • DPR

This position is a leadership salary grade 6.
