Aerotek Assemblers in Avilla, Indiana

A reputable company in Avilla Indiana is hiring assemblers for their 2nd and 3rd shift.

Description:

TYPICAL DAY and ADVANCEMENT:

*Starts shift with a shift-meeting to recap on injuries, shutdowns, and quoata / rate goals for shift.

*Person will be directed to a specific station on assigned Press Line

*Person will switch stations on Press Line every 2 hours

*Person is "relieved" to go on break by Team Leader for 15 minutes 2x's per shift

*There is a 30 min. lunch and person is required to stay on-premise the entire shift because they are paid through lunch and expected to available at any given time throughout entire shift.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assembling product according to corporate work instructions, customer requirements (assembling components for gas tanks) This shall include ensuring that all work procedures/instructions (including TS16949 Standard) are properly followed. Must be able to perform and satisfactorily explain all the applicable duties.

-Manufacturing experience within the past 2 years

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Safety and Quality Focused

  • Ability to work at a fast pace while following standardized work.

Plus:

-Assembly experience

-Plastic experience

DISQUALIFIERS:

Inattention to detail. Lack of quality. No mechanical aptitude. People who FAIL in this job are people who do not hit their shift rate/quota; people who cannot follow standardized work; passing through poor quality parts.
