JOB GOAL:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in maintaining labs needed for the AMT program including: testing equipment, inventorying parts and equipment, and general lab maintenance.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist staff and faculty with inventory of shop tools, equipment, and consumables

  • Help set up and manage inventory systems

  • Assist with shop equipment maintenance, inspection, repair and/or fabrication

  • Assist in maintenance of program aircraft and components outside of what is a part of normal teaching objectives

  • Assist in practical project preparation tasks as necessary

  • Various storage and organization tasks

  • Other duties as required

  • Maintain a regular schedule as agreed upon with your supervisor

  • Be available to perform duties over winter break

  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

  • Must be a registered student
