Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Electronics Customer Quality Specialist.
The Electronics Customer Quality Specialist will report to the South Sub Region of Americas IG, reporting to the Intel Global Strategic Account Manager.
This position will be based in Austin.
The Electronics Customer Quality Specialist is responsible for managing and executing all customer interfacing quality activities for bulk gas (Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Hydrogen, Helium, and Carbon Dioxide). The position requires executing and maintaining programs to ensure that the products and services provided by Air Products meet the expectations of our customers. Some of these customers operate globally across different geographical regions, hence this position will require cross-regional interaction internally and externally with the view of maintaining consistency of the products and services supplied across these regions.
This position will be the primary contact for any customer product quality issues and concerns.
Lead customer and supplier product quality issue resolution. Monitor and measure complaint issues.
Develop, implement, and manage customer quality roadmap
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create a plan to meet customer’s expectations
Drive the execution plan to closure
Handle changes in expectations
Monitor, measure, and report the health and effectiveness of the various programs to meet customer’s expectations with an eye on continuous improvement, inclusive of but not limited to
Customer-facing and internal product related quality trend reviews
Maintain robust customer business continuity plan by ensuring sufficient product sources are qualified and in good standing status
Maintain product related quality databases to support technical information inquiries
Maintain proficiency on the customer’s supplier interfacing quality tools and applications
Handle Customer Product Qualifications and Product Quality Out of Control/Out of Trend issues
Coordinate and communicate to customers Change Control notifications
Lead supplier product source quality audits from planning to closeout
Align on audit details with customer
Work with internal stakeholders to create an assessment preparation plan
Coordinate all customer meetings
Ensure right internal participants are prepared for any customer meetings
Review the audit closeout report, align with customer to ensure the report is accurate
Work with internal stakeholders to create a plan to address all major and minor gaps identified
Drive the execution of the plan to closure
Provide customer regular update of plan progress
Travel: Position may require some travel within North America for customer visits and to support internal training and quality audits.

Minimum Qualifications
Technical degree in engineering, science, metrology, statistics (chemical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred) or related technical program
5+ years of relevant Quality, Project, Engineering or Operations experience
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong presentation skills
Strong organizational, planning, and implementation skills
Detailed oriented, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Data driven, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple activities and projects in an organized and timely manner
Able to work effectively across internal and end customer teams
Operational experience in industrial gas, specialty gas/chemicals, or semiconductor industry
Applied experience with ISO management systems
Passion for quality excellence, service-oriented, and responsive, act with urgency
Challenge the boundaries of existing norms to create opportunities to strengthen relations with our customers
