Your Role and Responsibilities
WW Content Strategist for IBM Ecosystem
The Content Strategist brings the voices of our partners into our narratives and assets. The person in this role will help teams write effective value propositions and compelling stories that become key assets in the partner journey. The Content Strategist will lead key partnerships with lever squads, agencies, publishers, and production companies. Plan for assets and SEO in collaboration with campaign teams and write input and asset briefs to ensure clear and consistent creative vision. Create original content, audit existing content, and measure content performance in alignment with our overarching goal: Make Less Matter More.
The Content Strategist is responsible for driving content strategy from organic search through purchase. Responsible for excellent storytelling, bringing IBM brand and product stories to life in ways that capture our customers', partners', and prospects' imaginations.
Content strategists are:
The advocate for ecosystem in the squads and other marketing teams they are an active member of (e.g., PartnerWorld communications) providing guidance for the most effective tone and formats to deliver and integrate our messages, grounded in data.
Respected by cross-functional peers for their ability to advocate for and articulate the relevance of ecosystem to a campaign and build consensus around content to support it.
Audience and market experts who understand the right formats for the right audiences.
Creates and/or provides input into briefs used to build internal consensus across all teams and channels and to drive consistency, including via repeatable formats.
Constantly working to improve creative and technical skills in areas of content creation, format, and measurement as well as in product and portfolio knowledge.
Lead ecosystem-specific content requirements such as messaging workshops, content for ecosystem events and social/communications integration in collaboration with ecosystem marketing teams and the communications team
Creative stewardship: leading teams to develop new ideas, collaborating on content and briefs, sharing best practices, reviewing the content calendar and editing content.
Collaboration with Product and Performance and the broader Ecosystem Marketing organization to ensure we get to a great brief and effective distribution plans
Collaboration with Digital on end-to-end content experiences
Collaboration with Paid Media on messaging and asset journeys
Development of content strategy through editorial calendar plan
Review and approval of all content before it goes live
Collaboration with geographic ecosystem marketers to ensure globalized and 'partner-ized' assets land
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ Years Marketing with experience either in communications, content marketing or similar.
Proven content strategy and project management experience.
Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), paid media, and search engine marketing (SEM).
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience working with partners
Knowledge of IBM's portfolio of products (Software & Infrastructure)
