UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN UTIG - Co-Director of Gulf Basin Depositional Synthesis Program (GBDS) in AUSTIN, Texas
The Co-Director will take responsibility for the overall design and conduct of the research, oversee assigned project personnel, and coordinate administrative and marketing activities for the program.Work with the GBDS team to generate support from industry and governmental sponsors to explore broad research topics of mutual interest in the Gulf of Mexico.Conduct research activities, including 1) update existing GBDS maps and interpretations with newly released well and seismic data; 2) improve onshore well database allowing enhanced integration with CCUS, geothermal, hydrogen storage and critical mineral regional and site-specific evaluations; 3) create reports and present results of research to GBDS Industrial Affiliates; and 4) mentor GBDS students and postdoctoral fellows in seismic stratigraphic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, and reservoir connectivity methods.Publish and present work as part of GBDS goals and interests.Oversee publication of biennial project plans and reports to consortium members.
