Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

The systems engineering focus is support to unmanned, manned, and optionally piloted aircraft platforms and unmanned ground vehicles. The successful candidate must be able to develop requirements, create system design documentation, utilize and maintain existing analytical models, develop new models, and plan and conduct tests to validate requirements. The candidate will be involved in all phases of the project from definition, design, and test, and need to understand where requirements come from and the design side. The role includes analyzing customer/stakeholder requirements, decomposing requirements, deriving requirements, and allocating requirements to system and subsystem elements. Additionally, the candidate will develop system architecture for new and existing systems, conduct trade studies and perform design research, develop test plans and reports, develop test cases, and lead and conduct testing. Working in adherence to structured and defined development processes is essential, as well as working with the Software Engineering Team to develop software system requirements and test requirements. The role also includes participating in planning, design, testing, and deployment of moderately complex, engineered systems and software to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.

• Requirements – Atlassian – Requirements Yogi, Cameo, DOORS (either of these)

• experience creating ICDs from scratch

• Experience creating power points and presenting at design reviews (PDRs, CDRs, SSRs, etc.)

• Must be a citizen/able to obtain a government security clearance.

• Bachelors Degree – Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, etc

• A lot of the requirements are electrical/hardware base

Soft Skills

• Cradle to grave experience

• Understanding of system design phases

• Experience with both sides of the V-model

• Customer/stakeholder requirement analysis

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams
