Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing one, or more, high-performing engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm. You can expect to work with high-level client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance specific supply chain, operations and technical areas within your client's Foodservice and Retail needs.

  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of consumer products and retail sector. Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offerings that may assist current customer base.

  • Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on-the-job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

  • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

  • Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.

  • Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients.

  • Use your knowledge to mentor and lead a team of professionals on multiple projects

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree or master's degree

  • 10-15 years of experience in a Foodservice or retail consulting environment

  • Bring your expertise focusing on several facets of the Foodservice and retail industry including, but not limited to store operations, supply chain, cost reduction and innovation

  • Confidence linking supply chain and technology for comprehensive client solutions

  • We would expect for you to be available to travel outside of their assigned office location at least 80% of the time. Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

  • A driver's license and valid passport is required

  • Develop to build a book of business and lead in the client proposal process

Ideally, you'll also have

  • A bachelor's degree, a master's degree focusing on engineering, supply chain, IT consulting, marketing, finance and/ or business strategy.

  • Deep knowledge in one of the specific areas of expertise: supply chain, store operations, margin squeeze, rising commodity prices, entry into new markets and IT.

  • Approximately 5 years of recent Foodservice Retail consulting experience and at least 10 years total experience in a consumer products and retail environment

  • Bring your work experience in one or more of the following areas: price optimization, digital marketing, growth strategies, supply network planning/manufacturing, enterprise cost reduction, SAP implementation
