Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Food Services Supervisor, you will assist with daily management of staff functions including but not limited to workflow, call-in, scheduling and quality process within the department. As the Supervisor, you will supervise food service employees in the daily operations of the patient tray line, meal delivery and pick-up, and nourishment preparation.

• You will supervise the work performance of all dietary workers to ensure adherence to established department standards

• You will accurately inventory food items, paper supplies and staple items as assigned

• You will ensure the safe, sanitary and efficient delivery of meals to all customers

• You will help maintain staff schedules

• You will provide patient and employee rounding and respond in a timely manner to requests

• You will be responsible for staff training, development and coaching

• You will reward and recognize staff for individual and team successes

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in food service or hospital food service department

• 1 year experience in a supervisory position

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent

• Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Travis County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit within 7 days of hire
