Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, you will focus on maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct heavy account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.

• Conduct regular ledger maintenance and balance sheet clean-up.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.

• Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings and reporting.

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and reporting.

• Manage intercompany accounting practices and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Understanding and application of accounting procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
