Key job responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for managing two important Amazon Business charters: Foundational Services and External Systems Integration. You'll manage a team working to make setting up, configuring and deploying Amazon Business to large enterprises easy and intuitive. In this role you'll partner with directors across each org to define priorities and the long term user experience vision for our enterprise services.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design process and deliverables.

  • Manage a team of designers

  • Craft design artifacts like: wireframes, process flows, high-fidelity comps, prototypes and videos to test, evangelize and deliver ideas.

  • Responsibly and effectively advocate for customers; using direct feedback, user research, industry knowledge, and quantitative metrics to assess and optimize the experience.

  • Bring excellent, user-centered design skills and business knowledge to translate conceptual ideas into exceptional design solutions at scale.

  • Present design work to senior and executive leadership.

  • Raise the Design IQ of product teams and senior leadership.

  • Inspire and mentor a growing team of UX designers.

  • Excellent systems thinker. Able to gather requirements from multiple stakeholders and develop a consistent pattern that works for several use cases.

  • Experience in building for enterprise products or API / Apps platforms.

  • Development experience a plus.

About the team

The Amazon Business UX team’s mission is to redefine the business purchasing space with innovative experiences that help customers do their jobs smarter, better, and faster. Our vision is to take the work out of procurement, so customers can focus on their business. To accomplish this, we are building tools for small businesses, large enterprises, and also integrating our app with external procurement tools. The solutions we develop will be used by companies looking to purchase in bulk, reduce purchasing costs, and ensure their buying behavior maps to environmental and socially responsible business practices. In this role, you will set a long-term product vision and bring it to life. Most importantly, you will have a direct impact on the customer experience of businesses and suppliers around the world and at scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of design experience

  • 7+ years of leading multi-discipline Design teams (ie. visual design, interaction design, user research, etc.)

  • Experience leading a diverse team in the delivery of experiences from end to end (user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity visuals)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience presenting to and effectively advising senior leaders outside of design

  • Experience embedding design within product teams for agile design and development collaboration

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $162,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
