Software Engineer: CPU Power, Clocks, and Time

Hardware
Experience with low-level CPU hardware/software interfaces, cycle- and time-sensitive programming
Deep understanding of CPU structure, pipeline flow and clock hierarchy
Experience using low-power optimization design features and use of dynamic frequency and voltage controls
Low-level (assembly and C language) programming experience
On-Chip Debug (JTAG-level debugging)
Oscilloscope /instrument setup and reading schematics diagrams
Developed rigor in identifying high quality validation scenarios, coverage gaps, and effective use of debugging tools
Ability to work well on a team, yet responsible and self-driven in planning and execution
Description
Work closely with designers and architects to understand the micro-architectural details of the various functional blocks Identify, design, develop and execute directed and random tests to push the blocks to their operational limits Design experiments, execute measurements and produce reports in lab instrumentation environment Critical analysis of architecture and hardware specifications for power relevant functions Debug issues post-silicon using internal testing framework and resources
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
