Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Design and implement scalable, extensible and highly-available data pipelines on large volume data sets. Use large and complex data sources from Apache Hadoop, Oracle and AWS to help deliver dynamic and intuitive decision tools through visualization of data using SQL and PySpark, and bring data to life via visualizations. Translate business requirements from business team into data and engineering specifications. Build scalable data sets based on engineering specifications from the available raw data. Understand and identify server APIs that need to be instrumented for data reporting and analytics and align the server events for execution in already established data pipelines. Explore and understand complex data sets by processing raw data and distributed files formats like Apache AVRO and Parquet, and transforming data using ETL techniques and Dependency driven job-scheduling. Process, clean and validate the integrity of data used for analysis using Python, Apache Spark or Pig and applying industry-baselines for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity. Develop Python and Shell scripts for data ingestion from external data sources for business insights. 40 hours/week. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Designing and implementing scalable, extensible and highly-available data pipelines on large volume data sets using Apache Pig, Hive and Apache Spark.

  • Using large and complex data sources: Apache Hadoop, Oracle and AWS.

  • Building scalable data sets based on engineering specifications from the available raw data and distributed files formats like Apache AVRO and Parquet.

  • Developing Extract-Transform-Load jobs and Dependency driven job-scheduling.

  • Evaluating complex data sets using PySpark and SQL.

  • Processing, cleaning and validating the integrity of data used for analysis using Python, Apache Spark or Pig.

  • Developing Python and Shell scripts for data ingestion from external data sources for business insights.

  • Identifying Data Validation rules and alerts based on data publishing specifications for data integrity and anomaly detection using baselines for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity.
