Proofpoint Senior Product Marketing Manager in Austin, Texas

The Role and the Team

  • Proofpoint is looking for a senior product marketer to drive the go-to-market of Proofpoint’s Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) solutions as critical part of Proofpoint’s cybersecurity innovation strategy.

  • The team is seeking a senior and experienced product marketing owner who is strategic, driven, flexible, and highly collaborative – even better if you can sprinkle some humor in your day-to-day.

  • The Senior Product Marketing Manager covering ITDR will report to the Senior Director of Product Marketing

  • Develop deep understanding of customers and their buying journey and develop strong customer relationships where needed.

  • Understand the evolving Identity and ITDR landscape

  • Conduct competitive and market research to better support sales and go-to-market

  • Define go-to-market priorities that drive revenue growth

  • Plan launches of new innovative technologies and manage cross-functional execution of the plan

  • Create compelling content and use cases that highlights differentiated value to reach the target buyers

Your Day to Day

  • Drive definition of go-to-market priorities that drive revenue growth for the ITDR business.

  • Develop compelling, differentiated narratives that can represent Proofpoint Identity Threat Defense in a competitive market.

  • Create joint marketing plans with marketing campaigns team to drive go-to-market priorities

  • Build strong working relationships with product, demand gen and sales to achieve business goals

  • Stay up to date on ITDR and adjacent markets, including solid sense of competitive strategy.

  • Create and deliver effective enablement content that helps sellers in the deal cycles

  • Build strategic and concise launch plans to take new products and solutions to market

What you Bring

  • 8+ years of marketing, product marketing or product management experience in B2B Enterprise SaaS.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must feel comfortable driving narratives and putting it in writing.

  • Have a deep understanding of the security buyer and buyer journey.

  • Have had experience in either ITDR, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privilege Access Management (PAM), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Extended Detection & Response (XDR), or related field.

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.

  • Proven track of record of building and leading cross-functional go-to-market or launch efforts

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business, partner, and technical teams to deliver results

  • Solid experience driving positioning that can influence senior leadership, sales, and cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust well-being program that provides for 4 global wellbeing days per year, and a 3-week work from anywhere option.

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 157,650.00 - 231,220.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 129,000.00 - 189,200.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 117,600.00 - 172,480.00 USD
