RWE Clean Energy Senior Procurement Manager, Governance and Reporting in Austin, Texas

The Senior Procurement Manager, Governance and Reporting will be a part of the Project Procurement Team and will work with the RWE Clean Energy (RWECE) central procurement team in implementing procurement governance as well as supporting the wider RWECE procurement organization with executive reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage implementation of the Procurement Handbook in RWECE – liaise with the Central Procurement team to capture changes and amends

  • Training & ongoing support to both procurement and the wider RWECE business on implementation and questions related to the Procurement Handbook

  • Take the lead in supporting corporate & group-wide audits for RWECE procurement

  • Support the Human Rights Officer in managing supplier advance integrity check investigations

  • Support, develop, roll-out, and train on the group procurement systems and tools we use in RWECE

  • Establish reporting mechanisms to respond to RWE CE executive-level requests for information as well as procurement reports to support the Procurement Leadership Team

  • Support and develop KPI dashboard for Procurement

  • Establish, manage, and maintain active pricing history and records to support comparative bid analysis

  • Define common e-storage system for Contracts and documents.

  • Establish common procedure for exhibit exchange for complex construction & capital equipment contracts.

  • Reporting to the VP of Project Procurement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required with a preference for Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, or Business Management

  • Preferred 12 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in the energy industry, or related field

  • People management experience desirable

  • Thorough knowledge of typical procurement processes and procedures

  • Knowledge (suppliers, markets, trends) of the renewable energy industry

  • Experience in applying efficient procurement processes, structures, and analytical tools

  • Experience in liaising with senior management within critical departments & building good relationships

  • Highly developed analytical and communication skills, combined with a structured work style and a pragmatic hands-on approach

  • Strong eye for detail and ensuring accuracy in reports & KPIs

  • Experience and willingness to work independently in a fast-changing environment and in an international team

  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP. Ability to learn new systems and tools rapidly

  • Readiness to travel both nationally and internationally (if needed)
