The Role

Owns and manages the marketing database, including all its data, processes, and reporting. Maintains and improves the quality of the marketing dataset through the development of automated processes and managing manual cleansing processes. Manages the dataset, including matching fuzzy data from different sources against the existing marketing database, refreshing and renewing of segmentation, tiering, profiling, job functions, contact data and ensuring all scores and models remain up to date.

The Main Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Manage a marketing database, including working with large data sets, segmentation, organisation, data cleansing, data planning, analytics, reporting, data governance and data management. Maintain and update data governance practices, including building automated and manual process using defined business rules, documentation and communication of updates to the wider marketing team, Corporate Strategy, the Finance team and the Network Access teams.

  • Produce, automate and maintain marketing specific reporting, processes and analysis. Builds processes and performs analysis producing and incorporating reports from multiple different departments and data sources.

  • Develop visual reports and Dashboards in SSRS or Tableau to meet user requirements. Using parameters, drill throughs, and email scheduling as appropriate. Conform to the department standards for look and feel of reports. Provide Ad-Hoc Data Analysis support for customers using SQL and excel as appropriate.

  • Regularly communicates with wider marketing team and aligns with the financial intelligence team and network access team, taking full ownership of developing policies, gathering requirements, and translating business requirements in order to build reports, interpret and present data, and providing ongoing support.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Other Job Requirements:

  • Experience working as a marketing data analyst and managing a marketing database, including skills in handling company and contact datasets and data flows.

  • Experience in communicating clearly with non-technical customers.

  • Proven skills & experience in Salesforce.com.

  • Proven skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server (which uses the T-SQL ANSI/SQL development standards) specifically DDL and DML statements, Linked servers, open query and dynamic queries.

  • Experience with SSIS. Experience with SSRS, tableau or other reporting platform is desirable.

  • Experience with Oracle databases, using Essbase, fuzzy matching is desirable.
