The Office of the Governor is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Analyst IV) to work in the

Economic Development and Tourism Office - Economic Development Finance.

The salary is $6,666.67 - $7,083.34 a month ($80,000.04 - $85,000.08 a year).

What You'll Do

This is a job that performs highly advanced financial analysis and regulatory work to administer the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF). Work involves administering financial processes and systems; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating financial data; and providing assistance to staff, industry, constituents, local, state, and federal units of government, institutions of higher education, industry, and non-profit stakeholders.

  • Develops financial processes and systems and oversees the administration of the TSIF.
  • Advises staff on matters relating to financial contracts, third party business agreements, etc.
  • Effectively plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and conducts financial analyses for the TSIF in the Texas CHIPS Office; monitors required performance reports, and disbursements; prepares reports of findings; and recommends appropriate actions and changes for assigned programs.
  • Analyzes and researches complex business plans and analyzes financial data related to program applicants.
  • Oversees third-party financial reviews, including the accumulation of data, financial modeling, reporting, and monitoring of responses.
  • Develops and implements effective techniques for evaluating the TSIF and Texas CHIPS Office financial programs.

How You'll Qualify

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field; and
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience in financial analysis, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, economic development, public administration, or a related field.

Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
