Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients' teams and we will look to you to provide our clients with a unique business perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive in this ever-changing industry.

Your key responsibilities

Using your experience and skills, our Merchandise Planning consultants identify, communicate and deliver pragmatic and innovative solutions to address retail opportunities through improvements in organization, process, and related tool utilization.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of professional experience

  • 5-7 years of prior Merchandise Planning & Allocation experience with a retailer, software provider or retail consulting experience

  • Extensive experience within a leadership role, and responsibilities delivering projects in supply chain management, with a focus toward core merchandising, promotional management, category management and merchandise financial planning as a business domain

  • A good understanding of value chain synchronization and supply chain reinvention

  • Passion for retail, for solving complex problems and for delivering measurable and sustainable results for retailers

  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP Retail and/or Blue Yonder Portfolio Merchandise Management, Blue Yonder Category Management Suite and/or BY Enterprise Planning

  • Experience with advanced planning tools, such as Blue Yonder/JDA, OM Partners, o9 and/or Kinaxis

  • Experience with SAP and/or Blue Yonder supply chain software with deep functional/domain expertise and hands-on experience in configurations, training, knowledge transfer, customer communications, and documentations

  • Led and managed, at a minimum, two to three full lifecycle supply chain implementations in large and complex environments.

  • Subject matter knowledge in the following supply chain areas:

  • Clustering

  • Assortment planning

  • Merchandise financial planning

  • Promotional planning

  • Space planning

  • Floor planning

  • Led and participated in:

  • Gathering business requirements

  • Analyzing and transforming application requirements

  • Performing fit-gap analysis

  • Leading functional design approval process

  • Interacting with the development team to test and deliver the solution

  • Assisting customers during UAT

  • Preparing and reviewing documentation

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel and a valid driver's license

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Degree emphasis in computer science, IT, computer engineering, MIS, or mathematics desired; master's degree in one of these areas preferred

  • Certifications and prior consulting experience

  • Working experience on-site and offshore delivery model environment
