AT&T Hotel & Conference Center Reservations Agent (Part-Time) in Austin, Texas
Our AT&T Hotel's Reservations Team is looking for their next part-time Reservations Agent ! Hook 'em!

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
Answers all incoming reservation calls, providing prompt and courteous service. Books all group and transient room reservations following the proper procedures through Opera. Promotes hotel services, amenities and upsells products to the guests. Agent needs to be familiar with the University of Texas campus and the city of Austin.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greets customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome that can be felt through the phone. Uses a positive and clear speaking voice, listens to and understands requests, responds with appropriate action and provide accurate information, such on outlet hours, events, etc. C ompletes and creates reservations for hotel guests, sending folios, quoting rates, providing alternatives to our property if unable to accommodate the guests. Completes the reservation process by inputting all guest information into a computer system, confirming pertinent information including arrival dates, number of nights and room rate. Makes appropriate selection of rate type depending on guest needs and the current sell strategy. Delivers a confirmation number for all reservations made.
Assists the Group Rooms Coordinator with creating room blocks.
Receives special requests from guests, and responds appropriately or forwards requests to appropriate team members for decisions and actions, including any email inquiries.
Customers include Sales and Convention Services associates and Guest Service Agents.
Transfer all incoming calls to the proper area
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Remains calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity, and resolve complications from guest reservations.
Assist Group Rooms Coordinator by inputting group guest lists and inputting new group room blocks.
Aware of Guest Service Agent’s duties to help out in time of need.
Operate various office machines.
