Job/Position DescriptionProgram Specialist VIMarket Rate Starting Salary $74,521.40Under the direction of the Director of Survey Operations, the Program Specialist VI performs highly advanced (senior-level) policy analysis work, consultation, and technical support to Long-Term Care Regulation (LTCR). The Program Specialist VI provides support for the development, analysis, and implementation of proposed legislation and initiatives as they relate to LTCR. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing major agency program(s) and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the public. Serves as a lead worker providing direction to others. Supports the development and implementation of statewide Long-term Care Regulatory Services programs (Nursing Facilities (NF), Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), Day Activities Health Services (DAHS) Facilities, Day Activity Health Services-Individualized Skills and Socialization Facilities (DAHS-ISS), Home Health/Hospice Agencies (HHA), Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Centers (PPECC)) to ensure compliance with federal and state standards. Coordinates and supports meetings, data management and research training opportunities. Involved with development and implementation of processes to evaluate performance, analyze complex problems, monitoring and analysis of performance data, develop and implement analysis narratives and statistical reports. Completes and facilitates special projects. In the duties outlined above, this position may be responsible for overseeing and reporting to management the work of other staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or directly supporting the LTCR disaster and crisis response coordinator and responds to legislative, provider and stakeholder concerns and requests for information. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Works with program management staff statewide in securing and coordinating on-site and off-site meetings.
