Job Summary

Work with the Graduate Department of Nursing to identify, secure, and sustain clinical placement sites and preceptors for students in all Nurse Practitioner specialty program tracks. Meets virtually and in-person with potential and existing clinical partner site staff. Complete detailed reports and effectively communicate with the Associate Chair of Clinical Education, Department of Graduate Nursing. Position requires travel to clinical sites within assigned geographic areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify potential preceptors and engages for recruitment to serve as a Preceptor.

  • Facilitates connections for Nursing Practice students.

  • Focus on establishing relationships that guarantee consistent clinical placements, with a focus on areas that are especially challenging for placement, and specialties that are challenging.

  • Assist in relationship building and support established clinical partners.

  • Routinely connects and follows up with sites for any operational or student concerns.

  • Consistently conducts site visits to maintain and enhance relationships.

  • Maintain detailed tracking of clinical partnership placements and potential future placements.

  • Maintains tracking of communications and visits with sites and points of contact.

  • Provides routine written reports and communicates effectively with the Associate Chair of Clinical Education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Direct sales or clinical site placement experience.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the healthcare setting.

  • Prior experience in academic setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents.

  • Ability to organize work efficiently.

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and professional manner.

  • Working knowledge of clinical facilities.
