POST PROCESSOR SPECIALIST
MLC CAD Systems (largest Mastercam Dealer in the World) is seeking a highly motivated technical professional for the position of Post Processor Specialist.
LOCATION: Multiple Cities - Houston, Dallas, Austin Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Salt Lake City, Utah; Seattle, Washington.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide pivotal role of developing the important link between CAM toolpath output to specific CNC controls and machine tool configurations. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the development of post processors for CNC Mills, Routers, Lasers, Lathes, Wire EDMs and other applications. The role also involves interacting with end-users, internal MLC CAD Systems personnel, both technical and sales to achieve results.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing customer submitted requests for completeness and correct data.
Communicating with customers on exact needs and testing results.
Creating post processors per customer/machine requirements.
Multitasking by working on multiple simultaneous projects.
Create simulation machine definitions based on accurate customer machine kinematics.
Creation and organization of the post processor database; ensure up to date information.
Communicating and logging project status and creation of any necessary customer documentation outlining the functionality and proper use of the post processor.
Develop realistic estimates for proposed projects.
Identify and implement process improvements.
Skills Required:
Ability to solve technical problems.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Working in a team environment.
Must be Self-motivated.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
CAD/CAM background (Mastercam) is a plus.
Experience with VB-Script is a plus.
Experience with multi-axis and multi-tasking machine tools is a plus.
Experience with various CNC control languages such as Fanuc, Siemens etc. is a plus.
