The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Manager with strong capabilities in organizing the creation and execution of SAP training programs for large scale technology implementations. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead teams of EY professionals aiming to deliver quality services to our clients. You’ll work with leading organizations to help them get the most out of their people and you’ll use your knowledge and experience to help them improve their operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

This role will work closely with all parts of key technology implementations to develop an in-depth knowledge of the platform and offerings. Will work closely with teams to identify, engage, and support the stakeholder groups impacted by initiatives. The candidate must have strong business acumen, be comfortable taking initiative, and be able to operate at a global scale, understanding cultural and local preferences. You’ll advise and assist key stakeholders to manage change in their organization. You will work collaboratively to deliver innovative and insightful, yet practical solutions for a range of challenges, simple and complex, by designing training strategies and approaches.

Typical Training Manager activities:

  • Oversee and manage the delivery of training programs from start to finish.

  • Provide strategic advice and collaborate with client partners on ideation of new tools / formats and editorial support to ensure technology initiatives are well documented and adopted by end users.

  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute training plans and artifacts for technology initiatives, including, developing RACIs and training workstream processes to ensure efficient execution and high quality of work.

  • Understand the various methodologies for developing and delivering training and selecting the best option for the client and initiative.

  • Ability to understand the impact of technology changes and articulate those changes in business terms via well written, non-technical communications.

  • Oversight of training team members, initiatives, schedules, courseware, and cross workstream integration.

  • Analyze, measure and report on training effectiveness.

  • Forecast and manage potential risks for training program execution.

Skills and Attributes for success

We are looking for Training Leads who have experience in large scale SAP technology implementations in a fast-paced environment. For this role, the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and good attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow agreed processes are key requirements.

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate technology concepts to individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

  • Operate as a team player, demonstrating a willingness to help as needed.

  • Be able to remain calm under pressure.

  • Project self-confidence and sound judgment to identify needs of the client and quickly implement solutions to address those needs.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience working on major transformation programs is preferred; 5+ years similar experience and/or equivalent professional experience.

  • SAP training development and delivery experience

  • Be experienced in instructional design and development, and course delivery

  • Be adept at managing team tasks and schedule

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Understanding of technology environment landscapes

  • Have effective time management skills, juggling several competing priorities concurrently with a spirit of flexibility, agility, and positivity.
