The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager to participate in HR Mergers and Acquisitions – financial and operational mergers and acquisitions. Our Sr HR Manager, M&A will be responsible for supporting HR mergers & acquisition related projects and assignments. Our team covers the end-to-end lifecycle of a transaction, with our special focus on the people aspect of a deal. Our services range from producing HR due diligence reports (both buy-side and sell-side), advising on integration strategies, change management and employee experience both pre and post-close of the deal.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the team’s project plan, processes, methodologies, playbooks and tools through the integration and onboarding of acquisition employees. You'll support and drive a robust program management structure (e.g., roles, responsibilities, processes, and tools) for M&A integration success. The role will minimize execution risks and drive efficiencies while also identifying opportunities to enhance and scale the current model. You will also be expected to have excellent communication skills, integrate into and lead new teams, and rapidly establish relationships. Specifically, you should contribute to generating profitable revenue through identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience with HR aspects of mergers/acquisitions

  • Have financial Due Diligence and Transactions experience thorough the full life cycle of an acquisition

  • Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns

  • Be able to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for any major change initiatives and/or decisions

  • Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement

  • Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities by preparing proposals and delivering presentations for potential clients

  • Strong analytical mindset – ability to analyze and interpret data to draw accurate conclusions and recommendations

  • Strong project management skillset – ability to lead the planning and execution of complex projects requiring coordination of work across multiple stakeholders, negotiation, consensus building and problem resolution, and consistent demonstration of process improvement

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree and around 8+ years of related experience

  • Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions

  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to advise, challenge and influence clients

  • Project management experience, planning, budget management, and reporting

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in one or more areas of: reward, benefits, compensation, or talent

  • International knowledge of mergers and acquisitions

  • Understanding of accounting and reporting related to broad based compensation and benefits
