Key Responsibilities:
Manage difficult account relationships and initiatives where business problems, account strategies, or directions may not be clearly defined
Understand and help define vendor accounts' decisions and priorities; use this knowledge to drive relevant activities (e.g., planning, execution, analysis) that support achieving shared goals
Provide tailored recommendations to improve customer experience and reduce costs
Define and scale new opportunities for assigned accounts and beyond
Contribute to and present business reviews and strategic narratives to director-level leadership
Make strategic trade-offs balancing short-term and long-term account needs
Identify new opportunities for managed accounts and broader portfolio
Proactively identify and mitigate risks and costs
Assess and drive enhancements to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and playbooks, including the addition of relevant use cases
Streamline processes and hold partner teams accountable for improvements
Create plans with clear, measurable success criteria aligned with internal and external stakeholders' goals, metrics, and initiatives
Audit, monitor, and review business performance of accounts, updating project plans to ensure actions remain optimal for shared goals
Educate accounts effectively on tools, processes, and available resources
Accelerate progress by driving timely decisions, clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately
Apply process improvements that enhance team metrics and operational excellence
Influence multiple partner team goals and priorities
Mentor and develop other team members
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of relevant account management experience
Proven track record of managing complex client relationships and strategic initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence and build consensus across teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Experience working with retail operations, particularly in grocery or food service industries
Familiarity with Amazon's leadership principles and business practices
Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
Experience with contract negotiations and vendor performance management
Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling
