Description

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be expected to assist with the management of intellectual property litigation cases and ensure the efficient organization and filing of legal documents. This role involves working in a team environment and dealing with complex litigation cases.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and compute deadlines, ensuring all critical dates are tracked using legal docketing systems.

• Conduct research related to court rules and associated procedures to support case management.

• Coordinate the preparation and filing of legal documents, adhering to all necessary legal protocols.

• Provide support to the team during trials, including handling all pre-trial tasks.

• Ensure legal citations are prepared correctly, checking for appropriate format, content, and accuracy.

• Maintain an organized system for managing electronic filings in various courts including state, federal, and appellate.

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Utilize case management software to maintain accurate records and manage case progression.

• Use communication skills to resolve customer inquiries and maintain strong relationships with clients.

• Leverage knowledge of commercial and complex business litigation to support case teams.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of a Commercial Litigation Paralegal

• Required to have at least minimal exposure to Litigation Intellectual Property matters

• Experience in Calendar Management is a necessity

• Should be able to prepare legal cites for proper format, content and accuracy (Westlaw, Lexis; Blue Book)

• Will be required to have experience with electronic filing

• Must have experience with Relativity

• Some travel will be required as you occasionally attend trial anywhere in the United States

• Background in Defense Litigation is expected

• Should be able to do research regarding Court Rules and related procedures

• Must be able to take a case from beginning to end

• Will attend and support your team at trials including all pre-trial tasks
