Support Metadata Catalog Stewards and CustomersTrain university data analysts and stewards in the creation of metadata and use of the metadata catalog.Assist catalog stewards in reviewing, entering, and updating information on technical and business metadata under their purview.Provide feedback on features and processes to improve the stewardship experience.Assist in the collection and reporting on stewardship metrics for metadata management practices.Provide customer orientation, support, and training for Alation users.Support Self-Service Analytics, Training, and CommunicationAct as a liaison between the Associate Director for Campus Partnerships and D2I Functional Team Director, Metadata Management Lead, and Metadata Management Coordinator.Collaborate in the development of training and support materials for D2I services.Provide customer triage, support, and training related to customer-developed analytic solutions, data spokes, data models, Organizational Hierarchy Service, transformed data layers, and other services as needed.Maintain internal and external documentation related to the above.OtherContribute to and promote a positive, inclusive and effective team culture.Take initiative and thrive in a multifaceted and fast-paced work environment, with a significant degree of independence, a positive attitude, and a consistent focus on the best result for the institution.
