Aerotek Material Handler in Austin, Texas

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for managing inventory by pulling required items from requisition, order lists, or stock lists. You will use a checklist to ensure the accuracy of kits as items are pulled. This role involves accumulating orders, reporting shortages, and transporting completed orders to distribution points or staging areas. You will also process returned items, handle unscheduled issues, and maintain records of material received, stocked, and issued. Furthermore, you will prepare procurement requests and operate equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts as needed. The position also requires examining stock and distributing materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines, taking inventory through cycle counting, and potentially auditing kits for accuracy.

Work Environment

This role requires wearing close-toed shoes and working in a warehouse environment. An active driver's license is a must for handling material transport and equipment operation tasks.
