Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly skilled and innovative and detail-oriented Market Research Desk professional to join our dynamic team. The Market Research Desk Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting our organization's strategic decision-making by providing accurate market intelligence. The Market Research Desk gathers market data from internal and external sources, industry reports, and primary research to assist internal stakeholders with data to support their business needs.

The MI team focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data to produce actionable insights to inform our business decisions and drive growth.

Key job responsibilities

  • Perform Basic Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of Market Research Data: Process and digest market research data to understand industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts relevant to the organization's products, services, or strategies.

  • Assist Internal Stakeholders with Market Research: Qualify and timely assist in internal inquiries from stakeholders seeking for market research data and insights.

  • Insight Generation and Reporting: Produce basic intelligence reports, presentations, and summaries for specific business needs.

  • Escalations: Reach out and escalate to Market Research providers for customized research or insights required by the business.

About the team

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience across business analytics, market research, or related disciplines.

  • Proven track record of successfully conducting basic market research to support business decisions.

  • Strong communication skills to establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g. Quicksight).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or related in a relevant field such as business analytics, data science, market research, or a related discipline.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
