Job Duties: Support the larger ITC (Indirect Tax Compliance) team in the area of tax compliance and accounting while coordinating with regional and functional teams to ensure consistency and standardization of global processes. Review consolidated working papers supporting various global filings, including VAT filings for several EMEA entities and regions, sales and use tax filings for eBays U.S. operations, and various other, global, indirect tax obligations. Lead projects and implement new processes and controls in response to changes in the business environment, such as new tax requirements, changes in technology standards, and internal process changes. Lead the regular monthly close process as well as externally facing statutory reporting activities. Maintain world-class reconciliations of all G/L (General Ledger) accounts and integrity of financial statements at a transaction level. Supervise compliance-related activities performed by various third-party support teams. Utilize experience leading projects, driving process improvements, and working with operational efficiencies and automation technologies. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Management Information Systems, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

Ability to work with high volumes of data to conduct system driven transactional reviews

Data analysis experience

Facilitate communication and coordination with key indirect tax stakeholders

Project Management of the tax accounting compliance process; including managing external vendors to ensure deadlines are met for on time tax return filing; and working with internal and external stakeholders to provide business requirements in the planning for new or upgraded tax systems to validate that any new systems or updates to existing systems meet the minimum requirements to obtain data for sales tax filings and accounting

Collaborate with key stakeholders; engineering, product management, corporate tax, indirect tax, accounting systems, treasury, controllership and GL accounting stakeholders to align project goals and responsibilities effectively

Tableau, Power BI, and Jira

Oversee technical activities such as data export and validation performed by various third-party support teams to ensure system-driven tasks are executed properly

Identification of opportunities for process and system enhancements

Drive system and data enhancements projects to reduce errors and system variances, applying a strong technology background and tax system knowledge to achieve improvements
