Collecting past due loans. Reviewing and approving or denying deferment and cancellation forms as available. Submitting credit updates as needed for forms with retroactive dates.Completing accounting tasks for loans including voucher creation and documentation, posting payments to loans, and monthly reconciliation for cash loan disbursements, Centralized Receivables to Accounting, and collection agency clearing accounts.Preparing the Nurse Faculty Loan Annual Operating Report and the Perkins loan portion of the FISAP report to Department of Education.Posting weekly collection agency statements and completing the accounting vouchers for this task.Counseling borrowers with federal and institutional loans and advising them on available options including deferment, rehabilitation, and consolidation.Completing collection calls to borrowers with delinquent loans and counseling them regarding options. Document conversations in the mainframe comments.Reviewing Financial Aid Adjustment bills, sending emails to debtors, setting up and monitoring repayment agreements.Completing due diligence requirements including skip tracing on loans, written correspondence, and making required phone calls.Process litigation referrals to the Office of General Counsel.Backup for assisting with incoming Returned Checks phone calls and assisting with other Returned Checks daily tasks.Other duties as assigned.
