UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN LCSW/LPC Training Manager, TCHATT, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Austin, Texas
Supervises therapists working toward clinical licensure and licensed therapists. Oversees clinical activities for clinical trainee team members, consistent with applicants experience. Provides mentorship, support, and consultation to social workers or professional counselors. Provides guidance, direction, debriefing, clinical staffing, and support to TCHATT clinical staff.Evaluates and provides diagnostic impressions. Formulates treatment plan according to evidence-based practices and protocols. Conducts individual and family therapy sessions, as needed. Monitors patients for suicidal/homicidal intent and ensures patient safety if necessary. Undertakes crisis intervention, as needed. Maintains client records and performs data entry as required by protocols. Hires, orients, and evaluates TCHATT therapists. Collaborates on timesheets and reviews time away requests.Develops and implements TCHATT quality improvement initiatives to analyze human, technical, and operational capacity and monitor outcome and efficiencies, including peer review, chart review, staff education, clinical guideline development, and other continuing education and quality assurance activities to demonstrate compliance with standards, regulations, policies, and procedures. May help with coverage, staffing, and workflow optimization. Identifies, develops and implements training opportunities based on stakeholder needs.Participates in departmental meetings, continuing education opportunities, and academic and research opportunities to optimize patient best practice and interdepartmental collaboration. Delivers training, conducts outreach, and collaborates with stakeholders and affiliates. Attends appropriate training workshops, interdisciplinary meetings, and client staffing as required.Performs all other duties as assigned.
