To support our mission, we are seeking to fill a Human Service Specialist VI position. This position is located at Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center at 4800 N. Lamar, Austin, Texas.

The Human Service Specialist VI works collaboratively as a member of the rehabilitation team, performing s advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) administrative support, technical program assistance and case management work utilizing the electronic case management system to assist the Center Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (CVRC) in providing timely services to customers at the Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center (CCRC) in order to achieve successful, quality outcomes while promoting the Texas Confidence Builder's philosophy. The Human Service Specialist VI is hired by and reports to the Deputy Regional Director (DRD) and works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative. Establishes and maintains appropriate business relationship with providers, customers, and staff. Selected candidate must be willing and able to participate in a blindfold-immersion training program.

General Duties: -Providers caseload support services to include assistance to counselors, purchasing of customer equipment and supplies, assistance with customer. -Budget management and other budget projects utilizing automated systems and tools; caseload management support; purchasing and financial monitoring, translating. -Program materials into Braille; creating and maintaining simple to moderately complex spreadsheets; compiling and analyzing complex data and producing. -Statistical reports; reviewing manuals and procedures; coordinating the purchasing and distribution of office supplies by entering purchase requisitions. -Placing orders verifying receipt of consumer and agency purchases, tracking, and monitoring complex reports on purchases and travel; tracking special projects. -Developing, coordinating, and maintaining filing systems and retrieving information; hardware and software troubleshooting. -Mentors and trains other staff as required. -Performs other duties as assigned to maintain the efficient and effective operation of the unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework plus three years and six months of full-time qualifying experience in human services, social science, business, or a related field. -One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.
