UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Food Preparation/Service Worker (32 hour / 9 month) in Austin, Texas
Greet and interact with customers in a professional and upbeat manner. Serve a high-quality product during open dining hours. Products may include performing short-order or made-to-order cooking while providing excellent customer service. Ability to read, follow, and understand recipes. Break down and clean all serving areas and equipment, and properly store, label, and date leftover food items from the serving/dining area. Take and record temperatures and ensure cleaning and detail cleaning tasks are completed throughout the shift. Set up, stock, clean, and replenish the serving area during your shift in compliance with location and food safety guidelines. Monitor, stock, and rotate inventory items. Inventory of items in dry storage area, cooler/freezer, and/or beverage stations. Collect and document production records before, during, and after service. Complete other tasks as assigned. Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers. Seek direction at beginning of the shift and keep open communication with management and staff throughout the shift.
