Robert Half Finance Manager in Austin, Texas

Description We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role is pivotal in the healthcare and social assistance industry, offering the individual the opportunity to work closely with the CFO, assisting in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting related to strategic planning. This role also requires a deep understanding of financial modeling within the hospital sector, including budgeting, capital management, and change management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in budgeting operations, including operational expenditure (OpEx) and capital expenditure (CapEx).

• Participate in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting in alignment with strategic planning.

• Manage financial accounting and reporting, including the handling of general ledger account structures, crosswalks, and integrations.

• Contribute to proformas, modeling financial aspects of hospital operations such as net revenues, expenses, department sizes, and staffing.

• Understand and assist in capital management, including budgeting for infrastructure and business plan formulation.

• Participate in change management activities to ensure smooth transitions during periods of growth or restructuring.

• Contribute to the expansion of acute care services.

• Take on a player-coach role, offering guidance and support to existing internal staff.

• Leveraging skills in financial planning & analysis (FP& A), capital management, fund accounting, grant accounting, general ledger systems, OpEx, CapEx, acute care, hospital inpatient, healthcare operations, healthcare systems, growth strategy, organizational change management, sensitivity analysis, and monthly financial reporting. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance management role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) and Capital Management.

• Have a solid understanding of Fund Accounting in a non-profit context and Grant Accounting.

• Show expertise in using General Ledger System.

• Exhibit knowledge in OPEX and CapEx management.

• Have experience in acute care, hospital inpatient, and healthcare operations.

• Familiarity with the HealthCare System is necessary.

• Proven track record in implementing growth strategies.

• Experience in Organizational Change Management.

• Possess the ability to conduct Sensitivity Analysis.

• Ability to produce monthly financial reports is required.
