We have a current opening for a Field Safety Representative for our project at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), TX.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
Collaborate with Field Operations
Assess level of safe practices on job site (Royal/Other impacts to Royal)
Monitor job site safety culture
Coach on safe practices and PPE
Assist Safety Department with job specific plants
Assist Safety Department review customer safety manual/specs as related to our project(s)
Ensure Documentation & Enforcement of Safety Policies
JHA/JSP, Daily Huddle, Safety Meetings, etc.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance
Communicate clearly with internal teams on findings at project(s), conversations with customers, documentation of follow up on safety related issues
Coach/enforce on proper implementation of NFPA 70E program
Assist Safety Department with all Incident Investigations
Assist Safety Department with coaching field supervision on JHA's for project(s)
Provide Ongoing Safety Related Training
Project/Site specific training and onboarding
NFPA 70E Qualified Person
Forklift/Scissor/Manlift
Confined Space/Fall Protection/Ladder
Tracking and Inspection Safety Equipment Inventory
Perform safety related and safety equipment inspections
Inventory PPE and other Safety Equipment as required for project(s)
Support ordering of PPE and other safety equipment as needed
Requirements
Education & Experience
High School Degree/GED/Equivalent
3-5 years of construction safety experience
OSHA 30 Required
Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Ability to work effectively with all construction groups, management, owners, trades, vendors, subs.
Ability to perform on-site safety responsibilities; recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures, managing/administering safety training, orientations, procedures, investigating/reporting injuries, illnesses, near misses.
Special Considerations:
Ability to be badged at airport required
Eligibility and ability to operate company vehicle on airfield required
Bi-lingual/Spanish speaking a plus
Salary Range:
$70,000/year - $80,000/year
