Job Title: Equipment Engineering Technician

Job Description

Are you mechanically inclined and seeking a foot in the door with an exciting, innovative, tech-forward company? Come join a team that serves a purposeful mission with an incredible break-through, high-tech industrial product! The robotics team seeks to add a technician with a generalist to assist in equipment operations and testing. Day-to-day responsibilities may include: - General electrician / electrical assembly duties (soldering, electronics fabrication, electrical wiring assembly) - Fabrication (manual or CNC machining) - Mechanical assembly - General equipment maintenance (chillers, ultrasonic cleaners, clean rooms, etc.) - Facility and testbed maintenance (equipment maintenance/cleaning). Please note: This begins as a 4-6 month project. There is an opportunity for the work to be extended, and based on performance, possibly to convert to full-time.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a technician in an industrial, laboratory or manufacturing environment

  • Mechanically inclined: Recent strong mechanical and electrical assembly experience to include wiring

  • Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and/or facilities equipment

  • Computer proficient

  • Fabrication experience (on CNC machines or manual fabrication)

  • Experience working with vacuum chambers

  • Experience working with optical equipment

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • High level of ownership and accountability for tasks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good organization

  • Analytical and reasoning skills

  • Ability to work with others in a cross-functional team environment

  • Comfortable with frequent change of direction

  • Passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Austin, Texas.
